Sometimes there’s a place that exemplifies a city, and that makes you feel like you’re IN IT. Don Angie is that place. This is a place YOU MUST BOOK IN ADVANCE or go when they open and roll the dice. But preplanning is well worth the effort to luxuriate in such delicious environs, in the West Village to boot, which means a great post-meal walk (another NYC must). The pillowy cascade of parm that tops their chrysanthemum salad is the stuff of dreams. And come hungry, this is a filling meal. They also have a great wine list, and we never sit down without ordering a lambrusco.
