Terms of Use

If you downloaded the app from the App Store, your use of the app is also governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If those terms conflict with these, these terms apply to the extent allowed. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.

You need an account to use some features. Keep your sign-in details secure and give us accurate information. You are responsible for activity on your account.

Localist membership is an auto-renewing subscription purchased through Apple In-App Purchase. The price and billing period are shown before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple ID, and the subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. Any free trial ends when you buy a subscription.

Offers, events and other perks are provided by the independent places listed in Localist, not by us. Each place is responsible for honouring its offers and for its own products and services. Offers may change, run out or end, may have their own conditions, and have no cash value. We try to keep listings accurate but can’t guarantee every detail.

When using the Service, please don’t:

• break the law or infringe anyone’s rights;
• misuse offers, for example by sharing, reselling or redeeming them fraudulently;
• interfere with, scrape, reverse-engineer or overload the Service;
• impersonate others or create accounts by automated means.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

The Service and its content belong to Localist and its licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use it for your own non-commercial purposes.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties about it and are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the acts, products or services of the places listed. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

We may update the Service and these terms. We’ll post the new terms here and change the date above; continuing to use the Service means you accept them. You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Localist is established, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections in the country where you live.
