Variety Playhouse has occupied 1099 Euclid Avenue since 1940, moving from movie house to performance space and, since the 1980s, a dedicated live-music venue for touring and local acts across genres. A 2016 renovation updated the room while keeping its acoustics. Most shows are general admission, with fixed theater seats on both levels, standing and dancing areas, and a lowered pit in front of the stage; food, snacks, and a full bar are available.

Good to know
Most shows are all ages unless noted. The box office is cashless. Everyone goes through metal detectors, and no weapons are allowed (pocket knives included). The paid lot behind the venue fills up for big shows, so rideshare is the easy option.
