Old Fourth Ward

Dad's Garage

Dad's Garage is an attraction in Old Fourth Ward, Atlanta, at 569 Ezzard St. SE.

Dad's Garage is a nonprofit comedy theatre founded in 1995. It stages improvised and scripted shows in a renovated church at the corner of Ezzard and Bradley streets, near Edgewood Avenue. Most nights there's an early show, usually two halves with an intermission, and Fridays and Saturdays add a late show. The theatre also runs improv and stand-up classes, kids' and teen camps, and the smaller React Theatre a block away on Edgewood.

Musts

A Friday or Saturday double-header (early show, then the late show), or a DGU class-showcase night.

Good to know

The lobby bar opens an hour before showtime and serves beer, wine, spirits, and snacks (no dinner), and everyone is carded. The small free lot across the street fills fast, so arrive early, or walk over from the BeltLine Edgewood entrance or King Memorial MARTA. ASL-interpreted performances are offered.
