Little Bear is a small, homey dining room on Georgia Avenue where the chef-owner writes a menu that changes with the seasons and local farms. Dishes mix Southern produce with Jewish-deli and Asian flavours, such as chicken liver custard with marble rye, matzo chicken with black chili crisp, and lamb merguez. The paper menu doesn't take itself too seriously, and neither does the room. Order à la carte, or hand the kitchen control with the four-course Dealer's Choice prix fixe. The bar pours creative cocktails and a short list of natural-leaning wines.
