Negen Straatjes

Quattro Gatti

Quattro Gatti is a restaurant in Negen Straatjes, Amsterdam, at Hartenstraat 3.

Quattro Gatti is a pocket-sized Italian restaurant and pasticceria on Hartenstraat, run since 2006 by Turin-born chef Milos Pesole. Everything is made in house, and at lunch he rolls and cuts the pasta by hand to order in the open kitchen, turning it into carbonara, ragù and truffle dishes, with Italian pastries to finish.

Musts

Spaghetti alla carbonara, knife-cut pasta all'arrabbiata, tagliatelle with meat ragù, pappardelle with white Bolognese, green asparagus and shaved black truffle, and sheet ravioli filled with sausage in butter and herbs.

Good to know

Chef-owner Milos Pesole runs the open kitchen alone and rolls the pasta to order, so dishes take a little time. Tables are not reserved except for private dinners, and there is no pizza on the menu. The room is tiny, so expect a short wait at busy times.
